The Physician Company Makes Me Sick, It Makes You Sick, Too!

Before getting my Chiropractic degree, I worked as a workout physiologist and director of a couple of cardiac rehabilitation programs. One thing I learned pretty quickly during that time is that what I thought was common sense about wellness and heart health particularly, really wasn"t so common.

Referrals - The saying did not happen as it goes, if it isn"t recorded. Sure you might have referred your patient for massage therapy, but where"s it in the SOAP note? You better be able to monitor a referral someplace if you"re attempting to get that massage visit paid. Insurance company denying the importance of your attention? Where"s your documentation regarding your patient"s visit to the Orthopedic Surgeon whose recommendation was to continue with chiropractic care? You should be recording all referrals to and from your clinic. An auditor who finds none and looks through your notes doesn"t conclude that you don"t ever refer. He thinks that he"s found a chiropractor who looks to see what other mistakes he can find and fails to record thoroughly.

Meanwhile, on the different side of town (really east of the city), Meredith, my unknowing future wife, was stuck. Her Canadian friend Wayne had two tickets to see his beloved Edmonton Oilers play. Since he hadn"t been living in Denver for too long, he really didn"t have anyone. Our families asked his coworker Meredith to go with him. Wayne was her buddy, so she said yes, although she had little interest in ice hockey.

Select the mattress that is appropriate. Though a mattress that is firm generally garners recommendations, you can endure less back pain with a soft mattress. You have to pick the one that offers you the most comfort.

For example, you possess a chiropractic practice in Phoenix. You want more people to access Chiropractic services and live healthier lives. You understand that if your services are used by more people, they will have a higher quality of life and they may spend unnecessary time in pain if they don"t. Your greater vision is a healthier citizenry in Phoenix, although one result you desire is more company.

Jeff Hartwig, the earliest Olympic vault athlete who competed in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China relies considerably on chiropractic to keep competing. Jeff also competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics where he finished in 11th position. He"s been getting his chiropractic treatments from Dr. Ted Forcum D.C. who is among the 4 Chiropractors that were the members of the health care group for the 400 Olympic athletes in Beijing, China. "Without chiropractic attention, I doubt that I would ever have been able to achieve these degrees or been able to train at such an intense amount," said Hartwig.

I learned that it"s significant to both stretch and reinforce our back muscles. I spoke to my chiropractor, a local physical therapist and surfed the Internet, including the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (NISMAT), for exercise ideas. Although I came away with no less than 15 different possibilities, I understood that was way to many for my hectic schedule. After "trying out" several distinct exercises, I found the following to be my private tastes.

I"ve done all these things. I sleep better at night with out my neck and shoulder pain keeping me awake. Occasionally I try and switch off to a bag that is enormous but I"m quickly reminded with the stiffness in my neck and also the headaches that follow.
